NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) NYC Metro will be holding an education event on June 26, is “Mental Illness and the Mind-Body Connection”.
It is FREE and it will be at New York State Psychiatric Institute, 1051 Riverside Drive NY, NY 10032. It is from 1:00 to 5:00 PM and the registration will be from 12:30PM to 1PM.
They will be talking about alternative medicine interventions and techniques that compliment traditional treatments for psychiatric disorders.

You will get a chance to experience COMPLIMENTARY alternative medicine techniques such as, yoga, aromatherapy, acupuncture, nutrition and healthy eating, fitness training and exercise, massage therapy, and stress management.

I hope I can learn something for my sister AND definitely for myself! I need it because being in the arts is no easy task. I need all the relaxation tools I can get!
